MRI of the brain with gadolinium contrast injection. The contrast agent enhances the visibility of blood vessels and abnormalities such as: • Brain tumours and metastases • Inflammation and infections (meningitis, encephalitis) • Blood-brain barrier disruption • Active MS lesions • Vascular abnormalities
📋 Preparation Instructions
Fast for 4 hours before the scan. Drink plenty of water. Inform us if you have kidney disease as contrast is cleared by the kidneys.
